Mount Vernon, OH – The Knox County Commissioners, in partnership with the Knox OneOhio Advisory Workgroup, are pleased to announce that a second round of funding is now open through the Knox County OneOhio Grant Program. Supported by statewide opioid settlement dollars, the program funds efforts that prevent, treat, and promote recovery from addiction—including opioid use, co-occurring substance use, and mental health conditions.
In this second round, the Commissioners continue to seek evidence-based or proven projects that support children and families as they heal from the effects of addiction. Projects may focus on helping families navigate system resources, providing grief and trauma supports, or other innovative strategies that pair creativity with meaningful outcomes.
The Expression of Intent (EOI) Form is due Friday, November 13, 2026, and full applications are due November 20, 2026. Both forms are available at https://www.knoxcf.org/apply-
Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, public charities as defined by the IRS, and government agencies. Grants cover a 12-month period, and recipients will submit a semi-annual report with budget and narrative updates. Complete guidelines and criteria are included with the application materials.
"Addiction touches families across every part of Knox County, and local organizations are often the ones best positioned to help them heal," said the Knox County Commissioners. "We encourage nonprofits and agencies with strong ideas for supporting children and families to apply for this second round of funding."
