Poverty Simulation Experience

Can you Survive One Month Living in Poverty?

Poverty Simulation is a unique, interactive experience that helps individuals begin to understand what life is like with a shortage of money and an abundance of stress. It moves people to think about the harsh realities of poverty and to talk about how communities can address the problem collectively. Most importantly, it encourages people to make a difference.

On Thursday, January 12 at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1635 Old Delaware Road in Mount Vernon, United Way will present a poverty simulation experience from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

For details or to register, contact United Way of Knox County at liveunited@uwayknox.org or call 740.397.5721.  There is no charge but pre-registration is necessary as space is limited.
