Light Up the 'Hood

This third annual event of the Neighborhood Watch program was organized by Marla Dague, Leslie Franz, and Marshall and Marjorie Winkle. Each year, the organizers encourage visitors to make donations to a local charity. This year your donations of food and money will benefit the Food For The Hungry Drive. Marjorie and Marshall Winkle will host the donation drop-off this year at 800 Millstone Lane.

“Our hopes were to unify us as neighbors in a positive approach and to bring in the New Year on a good note and give back to the community as a whole,” shared Leslie Franz, event organizer. Marla Dague explained, “The ‘Light Up the ’Hood’ Night is based on people coming together for a cause, and it should start with our family, friends and community, in hopes of doing something good.”

The Best Display contest winner will receive a traveling trophy. Come drive through the neighborhood, stop to drop off a donation, buy a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy with your family and friends while reflecting on the Food For The Hungry motto: “Working together to care for our neighbors.”
