''Knox Squares'' – a benefit for HopeNow

Remember Hollywood Squares of bygone TV days featuring Mount Vernon's own Paul Lynde? Don't miss the live Right Brain Productions and Elixir's Chautauqua Series presentation of the ''Knox Squares.'' Nine historical figures, including Paul Lynde, Mark Twain, Mama Cass, Minnie Pearle and others, will occupy the squares, and local Knox County leaders will serve as contestants, with a special appearance by the Knox Co. Heritage Singers. Date: Saturday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Memorial Theater, 117 E. High St., MV. Tickets: $10 adults; $5 children under 12. At door: $12 adults; $6 children under 12. This event will benefit the services of Hope Now, Inc., a local non-profit that collects gently-used household furnishings and distributes them free of charge to Knox County families in need. Dozens of families in our county have children sleeping without beds. This fundraiser will help Hope Now meet these and other significant needs.
