A Day of Memorial

The City of Mount Vernon together with all local First Responding Agencies invite you to join as we remember the heroes and civilians who lost their lives on 9/11. Memorial Program to begin promptly at 8:15am.

Order of Events: Presentation of Colors - Jr Air Force ROTC National Anthem - Ava Grace Burns Pledge of Allegiance - Community Prayer - Chaplain Jerry Scott Words of Remembrance - Mayor Matt Starr 8:46am Moment of silence as tones sound from dispatch.

First Responders will make the climb up Rastin Tower as a tribute to the heroes and civilians who lost their lives on that tragic day.
