DESCRIPTION:The Annex\, an art initiative by The Gund at Kenyon College\, invites you to celebrate one year of art making in Mount Vernon.\n\n \n\nSaturday\, September 7\, 2024\n\n9:00 AM - 3:30 PM\n\n12 East Gambier Street\n\n \n\nIn just one year\, over 2\,500 visitors have joined us at The Annex for over 400 hours of free art programming with our superstar teaching artists and collaborators. We wish to thank everyone for welcoming us into the thriving Downtown Mount Vernon arts community. Please join us for creative activities from music and drawing classes to face painting and more.\n\n \n\nSCHEDULE\n\n9-10 AM          Welcome Remarks & Breakfast\n\n10-11 AM        West African Drumming with Musician Ibrahim "Baba" Saani\n\n12-1:30 PM     Drawing Class with Kudos Art Co-op Artist Sara Keith\n\n2-3:30 PM       Face Painting\, Flower Press Making\, and more!\n\n \n\nAnyone who creates a work of art with us during our anniversary celebration will receive a $10 gift card for Dave's Cosmic Subs (while supplies last).\n\n \n\nFor more information about The Annex and our first anniversary celebration\, please contact The Gund at Kenyon College at 740.427.5972.\n\n  \n\nGenerous support for The Annex is provided by the Mellon Foundation\, the Ariel Foundation\, the Ohio Arts Council\, and Kenyon College.
