DESCRIPTION:The annual Dan Emmett Music & Arts Festival is the premier event of the year in Downtown Mount Vernon. It encapsulates everything good about Daniel Decatur Emmett and the community's musical heritage. It is the "flagship" marketing activity where Mount Vernon (particularly downtown) is "on display" to the world.
