In partnership with Nationwide Children's Hospital and the district\, the school-based health center will provide additional access to health care. It is open to all Mount Vernon City School students and their siblings. It is not meant to replace a child's existing pediatrician but provide help to those students who do not have a doctor.\n\n\n\nServices offered include:\n\n Regular checkups (well visits)\n Shots (immunizations)\n Blood work\n Sports physicals\n Help when your child is sick\n Treatment for asthma or diabetes\n Help with work permit physicals\n Treatment for anxiety\, depression and ADHD\n\n\n\nConsent from the student's parent/guardian is needed for their child to be seen at the center. Appointments will be available during school and before and after school. Walk-in appointments may be available. Parents and guardians are always welcome to be at the visit\, but don't need to be. Staff will follow up with the parent/guardian after the visit to explain what took place and any needed follow up.
