This is an annual event that recognizes Down Syndrome Awareness in honor of the CrossFit 1808 owner's niece\, Caroline. For the past 3 years\, donations have been made to support the inclusive playground project at Memorial Park.\n\n\n\nThis year\, funds raised will be donated to the Sanders Family Adoption Fund. Jamie & Laura Sanders are a family from Fredericktown who have been working through the adoption process to adopt a little girl from Bulgaria. She is 4 years old and was given up by her birth parents due to having Down Syndrome. She is currently living with a foster family\, but Jamie & Laura would like to provide her with a loving and supportive forever home. They have 2 other children\, Eli & Levi\, who also have Down Syndrome. The donations will help their family with adoption fees and cost of travel as they bring their little girl home.\n\n\n\nThe format of the competition and location have also changed this year. We will be hosting the competition at our gym and will be having a 2 person team competition (M/F pair). The style of the competition will still be a series of events with a shotgun style start and a maximum duration of 50 minutes. Heats will run hourly starting at 9:00 am.
