MOUNT VERNON, OH ? On Saturday, December 13, Food For The Hungry will host its 15th Annual Snowflake Gala in support of its 2025 Drive Goal of $340,000. Step onto the red carpet for an unforgettable evening of glamour and giving. Cocktail hour begins at 6 PM. A stylish reception and gourmet dinner thoughtfully prepared by the talented Stuart Washington and the Knox County Career Center Culinary Arts lab will be served at 7 PM. Then, raise a paddle during an exciting live auction ? all proceeds will directly benefit families and individuals in Knox County. As the evening unfolds, guests will enjoy live entertainment by the sensational Knox Community Jazztet and MTV Arts. The Gala will be held at the Lowry Center, 221 Duff St, Gambier, OH 43022, which will be transformed into an elegant venue for the occasion. This year?s gala honors Bruce Jacklin, foremost advocate for the arts in the Knox County community, with the William A. Stroud Jr. Award for Public Service. Co-Hosts for the event are his longtime theatrical colleagues Kelly Yerxa Lauth and Leah Stone Miller. Tickets for the 2025 Snowflake Gala are priced at $100 per person with net proceeds benefiting Food For The Hungry. PAK United and The Woodward Opera House Announce the 2nd Annual Mrs. Claus Workshop Mount Vernon, OH ? PAK United, in partnership with The Woodward Opera House, is excited to announce the return of the beloved Mrs. Claus Workshop for its second year. This free, family-friendly community event will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at The Woodward Opera House. Families are invited to join the holiday fun and create lasting memories at this magical winter celebration. Children will have the opportunity to take pictures with Santa and enjoy enchanting holiday stories told by Mrs. Claus herself. The event will feature a variety of community partners who will be set up throughout the venue, passing out treats and goodies to the children in attendance. One of the highlights of the evening is the cookie decorating station, generously sponsored by Knox County Career Center. Children can get creative and decorate their own festive cookies to take home or enjoy at the event. This workshop is designed to bring joy and holiday spirit to the community, fostering togetherness and supporting local families.
